Mastering the Art of Letting Go

Newsletter. 12/02/23.

✨ Hello my loves!✨

In light of the recent full moon, and a forthcoming new year, I’ve been thinking about the art of letting go. I love incorporating lunation cycles into my life because the moon is a natural symbol of the beauty that exists in change. It reminds me that in every new phase of life, there is so much we all can release to make room for more love, more light, and more peace.

As a certified lover girl, I’ll admit to past disappointments I’ve encountered from wearing my heart on my sleeve in various instances–ranging from romantic to platonic. I’ve also navigated the heartbreak of releasing goals and relationships that pushed me away from my authentic self. Even still, I ultimately found myself feeling light enough to finally levitate to the realms of inner-peace and self-acceptance that I sought after for so long. This has come from letting go of expectations and ideas of how things should be, and choosing to understand the truth of the present moment. I’ve also had to release certain expectations and beliefs that cannot coexist with the life I am manifesting in real time.

Radically showing up for yourself means knowing when to let go of an idea, belief, or environment that is keeping you stuck in undesirable cycles. Embracing the art of letting go enables us all to welcome better days and divinely aligned experiences into our lives. The process of creating that room isn’t always pretty or comfortable, but I have found it to be necessary and ultimately worth it.

. . .

What are you willing to let go of in order to receive all you’ve ever wanted? And how will you protect the sanctity of your heart’s desires as you encounter new revelations, new obstacles, and new triumphs?

Be like water

You’re not damaged goods in need of repair. No matter where you feel like you have failed or dropped the ball, you are always worthy of love and redemption. Why? Because that’s how our creator designed us. We are physical manifestations of so much divine love and intention, and our power for alchemization is something innate. Meaning, we can turn release into renewal at any given time.

If we aren’t transforming, unlearning, evolving, rewiring, releasing, and ultimately blossoming, are we even really alive?? In my eyes, the lack of evolution signals death. So, embrace change as a vehicle for expansion and release what you need to in order to facilitate that.

One of my favorite life mottos is “be like water”. In practice, this looks like having the flexibility to ride the waves of life’s unpredictable current. It means allowing the love and forgiveness you have for yourself to cleanse away the doubt, shame, and fear that may have latched on to your heart as a result of past hurt and disappointment.

When you know better, move smarter. It all works out for your good in the end.

xx,

Odemi

new paintings in the store !

I’ve been developing a collection of new art that I’m gradually adding for purchase in the Alaere Lifestyle store. This collection is titled, “Into the Wild” and it’s been a cathartic mix of release and reimagination. This collection is an exploration of my personal dance to the rhythm of expansion, and what it has meant for me to surrender to flow as I venture into the deepest crevices of my mind, heart, and spirit. I’ve used painting to process my spiritual journey this past year, and I’m so grateful for the healing power of creativity.

My decision to create art & literature full-time has pulled me into a deep communion with the divine, and I've had no choice but to physically translate that magic in the best way I know how. This collection signals a release from the shackles of perfectionism and self-judgement that bogged me down when I once tried to fit into spaces incompatible with my sovereign expression.

I invite you to check out the current framed works available for purchase by clicking the button below. 😘
