In close collaboration with the Associate Director of Alumni Belonging, I embarked on a transformative journey to enhance the Brown Women's Network alumnae engagement and belonging program. By crafting a cross-channel digital engagement strategy, I provided a comprehensive plan to revitalize social media interactions among volunteers and the broader alumni community of 40,000+ women. Through captivating video content on Instagram and thought-provoking blog articles for LinkedIn, I helped the organization foster a renewed sense of unity among Brown University women– transcending generations, identities, and backgrounds.
Brown University Inman Page Black Alumni Council
At the esteemed Brown University Inman Page Black Alumni Council 2021 Student Leadership Retreat, I had the privilege of leading a breakout session titled "Finding Strength in Vulnerability." Through heartfelt storytelling and interactive workshops, we explored the power of emotional vulnerability, healing intergenerational wounds, and unlocking inner resilience. It was an incredible opportunity to connect with aspiring leaders, empowering them to embrace their vulnerabilities and discover their true strength.
Brown University Alumni Career Initiative
I was invited by the Brown University Director of Career and Life Design to craft a unique lecture and workshop for a new pilot program designed to support alumni during times of career uncertainty. Through a captivating talk titled "Discover Your Divine Gifts and Build a Career Rooted in Purpose," I had the privilege of sharing insights and exercises with alumni participants. By embodying their higher selves and embracing their innate talents, attendees learned how to slow down and ignite the self-discovery needed to craft careers infused with purpose and authenticity. Together, we forged connections, engaged in meaningful conversations, and built a community centered around personal and professional growth.
The Ron Brown Scholar Program
I worked with the Ron Brown Scholar Program engagement team to spearhead digital community programs and forge meaningful connections that bridged the gap between scholars and corporate partners. Through strategic social media and calling campaigns, we harnessed the power of video and personal testimonials, creating a compelling narrative that resonated with both donors and scholars. By showcasing the scholars' unique journeys and highlighting the transformative impact of philanthropy in video format, we rallied support and fostered a vibrant community dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders.
The World Bank Global Knowledge Innovation Unit
Collaborating with the World Bank Global Knowledge Innovation Unit, I spearheaded a comprehensive digital communications strategy for the “Teach” evaluation tool for teachers in low-income countries. I guided content creation and design strategies, ultimately creating a captivating Teach Digital prototype to engage key stakeholders and potential donors across target international markets. By conducting insightful interviews with Task Team leads and government officials, I crafted impactful storytelling campaigns that captured the essence of the Teach initiative. Together, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of this transformative endeavor at the World Bank Headquarters where we presented my compilation of interviews in a live presentation titled “Innovations to Transform Teaching Practices.”
Coupa Software Employee Engagement Team
As a part of the Coupa Village Events organized by the Coupa Employee Engagement Department, I had the honor of delivering a compelling book talk on channeling divine feminine energy and embodying divine feminine leadership in the workplace. This was particularly salient to speak to in the male-dominated industry of financial tech and business spend management. Engaging a global audience of 70+ Coupa employees, my talk and live readings from Force of Nature sparked a powerful movement. Inspired by the discussion, employees created a dedicated Slack Channel, becoming true #ForceOfNature ambassadors within the organization.
The Lambda Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
With immense joy, I presented a talk on Radical Self-Love to The Lambda Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. This transformative experience included special reflection exercises designed exclusively for members of the sorority studying at Brown University. Through live readings of select poems from "Force of Nature" prior to its public release, we collectively celebrated self-love, empowerment, and sisterhood. It was a powerful gathering that left a lasting impact on all those present.
