Refund policy

We create Alaere pieces in limited quantities, and many are custom-painted and made to order. For this reason, all sales are final.

We only accept returns for items that are visibly damaged, defective, or incorrect upon arrival. In such cases, you may choose a replacement of the same item (subject to availability) or store credit of equal value.
We do not issue refunds to the original payment method, as all proceeds are used toward production immediately upon purchase.


How to Start a Return (Defective or Incorrect Items Only)

To be eligible for a replacement or store credit:

  1. Contact us within 3 days of delivery at team@alaerelifestyle.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue.
  2. Items must be unworn/unused, in the same condition received, with tags attached and in original packaging.
  3. If your return is accepted, we’ll email you a return shipping label and instructions. Items sent back without approval will not be accepted.
  4. Approved returns must be shipped within 7 days of approval.

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right with a replacement or store credit (your choice).


Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items (Final Sale)

The following are final sale and not eligible for return, store credit, or replacement unless defective or incorrect on arrival:

  • Custom artwork, hand-painted clothing, and commissioned pieces
  • Hand-painted or custom jewelry
  • Made-to-order Nappa leather handbags
  • Limited-edition art apparel and art prints
  • Gift cards

Apparel Condition Requirement:
Apparel must be unworn, unwashed, with original tags attached, and free from makeup, deodorant, or fragrance stains.


Exchanges

We do not process traditional exchanges. If a defective or incorrect item is confirmed, you may choose between a replacement (subject to availability) or store credit of equal value.


European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, provided the item is unworn/unused, with tags, and in original packaging, and you include proof of purchase.

Exemptions:
The EU cooling-off right does not apply to goods that are custom, made-to-your-specifications, personalized, or clearly tailored.
This includes custom artwork, hand-painted clothing, hand-painted jewelry, and made-to-order Nappa leather handbags.
These items remain final sale except in cases of damage or incorrect shipment.

Examples of non-custom goods that qualify for EU returns include standard limited-edition t-shirts and pre-printed art prints that are not individually customized or hand-painted.

Return Shipping (EU):

  • For “change of mind” returns under the EU cooling-off rule, the buyer pays return shipping.
  • For defective or incorrect items, Alaere Lifestyle covers return shipping.

To exercise your EU return right, email team@alaerelifestyle.com within 14 days of delivery for instructions and a return address.


Store Credit Processing

Once we receive and inspect your approved return, you will be notified via email.
If approved, your store credit will be issued within 10 business days.
Store credits are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be applied to any future Alaere Lifestyle purchase.


Important Notes

  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable except where required by law (e.g., defective/incorrect items).
  • Returns must follow the approval process above; unauthorized returns will not be accepted.
